IL SB2798

Amends Senate Bill 2798 to expand the definition of prima facie evidence of child abuse to include medical professional determinations that a minor has injuries indicative of non-accidental trauma, in addition to battered child syndrome diagnoses.

Modifies evidence standards for abuse by including medical professional determinations of non-accidental trauma injuries as prima facie evidence that injuries were caused by acts or omissions of a parent, custodian, or guardian.

Broadens the types of medical findings that can establish presumptive evidence of child abuse or neglect in juvenile court proceedings.
