IL SB2849

Amends the Illinois Dental Practice Act by modifying definitions in Section 4 and practices in Section 17, effective through January 1, 2016.

Adds "Community dental health coordinator" (CDHC) definition as a dental team member providing community-based oral health advocacy, counseling, patient assessment, and nutritional literacy under dentist supervision.

Allows CDHCs to perform functions meeting training and educational standards not expressly prohibited by statute or Department rules under dentist supervision.

Makes minor technical corrections to Section 9 and Section 11 references by removing unnecessary commas in licensing application provisions.
