For Chicago police officers born on or after January 1, 1955, automatic annual pension increases begin January 1, 2015 at 3% instead of the previous 1.5%.

Police officers born on or after January 1, 1955 are exempt from the 30% maximum cumulative increase cap that applies to older cohorts.

The State Mandates Act is amended to specify that no state reimbursement is required for implementing this mandate.

The bill takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
