IL SB3063

Amends the Governor Succession Act by making a technical change to Section 1 regarding the line of succession for the office of Governor.

Corrects grammatical language in subsection (a) by replacing duplicated wording in the opening clause about when the Governor cannot exercise powers and duties of office.

Maintains the existing seven-position line of succession: Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Comptroller, Treasurer, President of the Senate, and Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Preserves provisions for succession by death, conviction on impeachment, resignation, temporary disability, or failure to qualify, with designation of "Acting Governor" for temporary disability cases.
