Court may temporarily appoint a coroner from another county with a mutual aid agreement to perform duties when the jurisdictional coroner is unavailable or has a conflict of interest.

Court must make the appointment within 24 hours of receiving a motion from any interested party showing good cause.

Appointed coroner has the same power and authority as the jurisdictional coroner for the specific matters covered in the court's order.

County where the death occurred pays all expenses for the investigation conducted by the temporarily appointed coroner.

Temporary appointment terminates upon completion of the final certification of death and only covers matters specified in the court's order.
