IL SB3145

Requires the Department of Children and Family Services to establish rules allowing expungement of indicated findings upon completion of a prescribed course of services.

Grants the Director of DCFS or designee exclusive discretion to expunge indicated reports or a perpetrator's name from the central register on grounds of manifest injustice, notwithstanding expired appeal deadlines or prior final administrative decisions.

Allows the Director or designee to alternatively direct that expungement issues be reopened for an evidentiary hearing on the merits.

Requires DCFS to establish procedures for requesting relief on grounds of manifest injustice.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
