IL SB3241

Amends Section 3-5-2 of the Unified Code of Corrections (730 ILCS 5/3-5-2) concerning institutional records maintained by the Department of Corrections.

Makes a technical change to the language requiring the Department to maintain records of examination, assignment, transfer, and discipline of committed persons and grievances at its institutions, facilities, and programs.

Specifies that institutional records must contain the name of persons involved, time, date, place and purpose of procedures, decisions and their basis, and any review of the decisions made.
