IL SB3257

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to add Section 5-33 regarding personal needs allowance for medical assistance recipients.

Requires the State to supplement the federal minimum monthly personal needs allowance so that residents in ID/DD Community Care Act licensed facilities receive a total of $50 per month from combined State and federal sources.

Applies only to individuals who receive medical assistance payments throughout the entire month and are determined eligible for medical assistance.

Implementation is subject to appropriation by the legislature.

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
