IL SB3277

Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act definition of "practice of pharmacy" to include pharmacist administration of meningococcal vaccines to patients ages 10-13, in addition to influenza and Tdap vaccines already authorized.

Requires pharmacists administering meningococcal vaccines to patients under age 18 to notify the patient's physician (if identified) and record the vaccination in the Illinois Comprehensive Automated Immunization Registry (I-CARE) within a reasonable timeframe.

Maintains existing requirements that pharmacists complete appropriate training on vaccine administration, including addressing contraindications and adverse reactions, with a valid prescription or standing order from a licensed physician.

Clarifies that pharmacist vaccination authority for ages 10-13 is limited to influenza, Tdap, and meningococcal vaccines, while patients 14 and older may receive additional vaccines under specified conditions.
