Secretary of State may issue special Bronze Star with Valor registration plates to Illinois residents awarded the Bronze Star with "V" device by the United States Armed Forces.

Secretary of State may also issue Bronze Star with Valor plates to surviving spouses of persons awarded the Bronze Star with "V" device.

Secretary of State may issue special Army Commendation with Valor registration plates to Illinois residents awarded the Army Commendation Medal with "V" device by the United States Army.

Secretary of State may also issue Army Commendation with Valor plates to surviving spouses of persons awarded the Army Commendation Medal with "V" device.

Special plates may only be affixed to passenger vehicles of the first division, motorcycles, or motor vehicles of the second division weighing not more than 8,000 pounds, and shall expire according to the staggered multi-year procedure established in the Illinois Vehicle Code.
