IL SB3363

Amends firearms laws to extend unlawful use of weapons exemptions to retired parole agents and retired parole supervisors under the same conditions as active parole agents and supervisors.

Requires retired parole agents and supervisors to receive firearms training from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board and obtain certification of successful completion.

Requires annual requalification for firearms training at a State range certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board, with costs paid by the retired individual.

Mandates that retired parole agents and supervisors must have left Department of Corrections employment in good standing and not been subject to involuntary discharge or dismissal.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
