IL SB3396

Amends the Cemetery Care Act by making a technical change to Section 2a concerning powers and duties of cemetery authorities.

Cemetery authorities responsible for care and maintenance of cemetery property they own and for opening and closing all graves, crypts, or niches for human remains.

Cemetery authorities must make available for inspection their rules, regulations, and current prices for interment, inurnment, or entombment rights upon reasonable request.

Cemetery authorities must keep records of all interments, entombments, and inurnments including deceased's name, age, date of burial, and burial location, with records open to public inspection consistent with state and federal law.

Cemetery authorities must provide reasonable access to cemeteries under their own rules and regulations.
