State Board of Education shall conduct a study on implementing individual career plans of study for grades 8-12 students in all school districts, with findings due to the General Assembly by December 31, 2016.

"Individual career plan of study" defined as a personalized sequence of classes focused on a career pathway enabling seamless transition to post-secondary education.

State Board of Education shall establish a technical education and career incentive program providing $1,000 awards per student to school districts for each high school graduate who obtains an industry-recognized credential in high-need occupations.

High-need occupations identified by the Director of Labor in consultation with the Board of Higher Education and State Board of Education at the time the student enters the technical education program.

Award funds may be used for technical education course expenses, with remaining funds available for school district operation at the discretion of the school district.
