IL SB3670

Adds new subsection (h-5) to the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act prohibiting chiefs of staff, deputy chiefs of staff, and deputy governors in the Office of the Governor from lobbying or consulting with the executive or legislative branch for one year after leaving state employment.

Applies this prohibition in addition to existing restrictions on these positions under subsection (h), creating a more stringent standard than other state employees.

Defines "lobbying" by reference to the Lobbyist Registration Act and broadly prohibits "consulting in any fashion" with state government branches.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
