Designates 2015 as a Year of Service and Civic Engagement to engage all generations in volunteer opportunities and civic participation.

Directs Generations Serving Generations to convene a Senate Forum by December 31, 2014, and prepare recommendations for strengthening volunteerism and national service infrastructure in Illinois.

Acknowledges that 27.4% of Illinoisans volunteered in 2012, contributing 286 million hours to address community challenges.

Recognizes that many Illinoisans want to volunteer but lack knowledge of how to connect to service opportunities.

Calls for collaboration among state leadership in education, aging, service sectors, and the private sector to support volunteerism as a resource for education, healthy lifestyles, and senior independence.
