Identifies the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers as critical waterways that carry millions of tons of goods for domestic use and national exports worth billions of dollars annually.

Recognizes that waterway shipping is an efficient and economical method of transporting goods.

Notes that failure to dredge these rivers has severely impacted transportation and commerce along the waterways.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be delivered to the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
