Acknowledges Reagan's career progression from radio sports announcer in the Quad Cities to Hollywood actor, Screen Actors Guild president, California Governor (1967-1975), and U.S. President (1981-1989).

Highlights Reagan-related sites and institutions across Illinois including the Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon, birth site museum in Tampico, Reagan Forward program at Eureka College, and Interstate 88 section named in his honor.

Honors Reagan's legacy as a consequential 20th-century world leader whose commitment to "peace through strength" contributed to the defeat of the Soviet Union and end of the Cold War.

Requests the Architect of the Capitol place a statue of President Reagan in the Illinois State Capitol Building or surrounding grounds, to be funded by private donations.
