John J. Forni, Jr. of St. Charles passed away on June 16, 2014; he was born in Geneva on April 2, 1925.

Served in the United States Navy in the Pacific from March 1944 to March 1946; married Dorothy Nelson on March 8, 1947, and later married Donna Malesh on June 8, 1991.

Worked for State Street Motors, the City of Geneva, Delnor Hospital, and ARA Services (retired 1990); volunteered with the Geneva Fire Department for over 25 years.

Active in the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars; served on the St. Charles Park District board for 14 years from 1997 through 2011.

Senate mourns his passing and extends condolences to his surviving wife Donna, five step-children, six step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and three sisters.
