Illinois Senate expresses condolences for Elisabeth "Lisa" D. Kelly of Woodstock, who died on June 7, 2014.

Kelly was born February 22, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in philosophy.

Kelly served as an active member of St. Ann's Episcopal Church in Woodstock (including roles as Junior and Senior Warden), Woodstock Rotary Club, and as President of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce.

Kelly worked as a journalist for the Northwest Herald and Woodstock Independent newspapers and as a substitute teacher for District 200.

Kelly is survived by two sons (Spencer and Brian) and a sister (Pat Neilson); she was preceded in death by her parents and brother Tom Dougan.
