Illinois Senate resolution mourning the death of William H. Potts, Sr. of Bartlett, who passed away on May 30, 2014.

Potts was born March 14, 1927, served as a United States Army veteran in the Korean War with the 187th Airborne, and served 2 years in the coast guard after honorable discharge.

Worked as superintendent for the Rockford Paper Mill until retirement and also worked for the City of Elgin.

Was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and member of the American Legion; survived by two children, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Senate extends sincere condolences to Potts' family, friends, and all who knew him, with a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to his family.
