Illinois Senate mourns the death of Donald L. Hook of Vernon Hills, who passed away on July 3, 2014

Hook graduated from Northwestern University in 1974 and attended 41 consecutive Northwestern home football games

Hook served 30 years with the Vernon Hills Lions Club, including roles as Director of the Lions of Illinois Foundation and past-District Governor of Lions District 1F

Hook was a former Village of Vernon Hills Trustee (1989-1997), Cook Memorial Library Board member, Police Pension Board member (starting 2002), and founding member of St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church

Senate extends condolences to Hook's surviving wife Kathleen, three daughters, grandchildren, and extended family members
