Illinois Senate mourns the death of Bernice M. Bittner, who passed away on July 14, 2014, at age 91.

Bittner was born May 9, 1923, married Clarence "Pat" Bittner on January 8, 1944, and was a stay-at-home mother who later worked in the Waukegan High School cafeteria.

She was an active member of St. Anastasia and St. Dismas Churches and enjoyed dancing, sewing, crocheting, and volunteer work at Victory Memorial Hospital following her husband's death in 1988.

Bittner is survived by 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Senate directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the Bittner family as an expression of sympathy.
