Illinois Senate honors Edward Carl Moehle of Pekin, who died on September 13, 2014, with this memorial resolution.

Moehle was born December 7, 1925, served as staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater, and worked for the International Military Tribunal of the Far East in Tokyo.

Earned Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis; practiced law for over 50 years and co-founded the law firm Moehle, Swearingen & Associates, Ltd. in 1966 before retiring in 2010.

Served as active member and board chairman (1980-1982) of the Attorney's Title Guaranty Fund, Inc.; instrumental in developing the Court Counselor program in Tazewell County; member of Pekin Public Schools District 108 Board of Education and Tazewell Mason Special Education Board.

Survived by his wife Carol, four daughters, five grandsons, four granddaughters, and one great-grandson; a suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to his family.
