Helen Louise Crew of Chillicothe passed away on September 23, 2014, at age 97.

Crew was born August 31, 1917, and worked at Caterpillar Inc. during World War II, then at Geiger Hardware and Carlisle Drug Store in Chillicothe.

Crew was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years, the Mary Anna Circle, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; she sang with the Belles of Harmony.

Crew was preceded in death by her husband Norman and 10 siblings; she is survived by one daughter, two sons, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two surviving siblings.

The Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for Helen Crew's passing and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family.
