John Benjamin Affinito of McHenry passed away on August 23, 2014; he was born June 18, 1929 in Italy to parents Antonio and Assunta Sessa Affinito.

Worked as an x-ray technician for over 30 years at McHenry Hospital and Memorial Hospital for McHenry County; resided in Hebron from 1976 until moving to McHenry in 1990.

Was a member of St. Mary's Church in McHenry where he served as an usher and previously attended Christ the King Church in Wonder Lake.

Survived by wife Gina (married 54 years), two children, five grandchildren, one brother, and one sister.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family and directs a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to them as an expression of sympathy.
