Richard H. Witting of McHenry passed away on September 10, 2014, at age 91.

Witting was a graduate engineer and plant supervisor who served in the United States Coast Guard and was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

He is survived by his wife Angela, two sons (Richard R. and Dennis), two step-daughters (Patricia Ann Dumong and Cecilia Bermudez), two step-grandchildren, and his caregiver Virginia.

The Illinois Senate expresses its mourning for Witting's passing and extends condolences to his family and friends.

A suitable copy of this resolution will be presented to the Witting family as an expression of sympathy.
