Carl G. Wellman of Harvard passed away on August 25, 2014; he was born September 13, 1925 in West Point, Iowa.

Served in the United States Army during World War II in the Philippines and married Winnifred Walsh on October 25, 1952 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Worked as a farmer in Iowa and Canada in his early years and later as an electrician for Illinois Bell in Chicago.

Member of the Woodstock Veterans of Foreign Wars, Harvard Grange, and Antique Outboard Motor Club; collected antique outboard motors and hats; attended thresheree events.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his surviving wife Winnifred, daughter Lynn O'Brien, grandchildren Megan, Colleen, and Kevin O'Brien, brother James Wellman, and other family members.
