Helen E. McLean of Crystal Lake passed away on September 5, 2014, at age 92.

Joined the United States Civil Service in 1948 and was assigned to a U.S. Army Air Force base on Guam, where she married Leslie McLean.

Served as a dedicated volunteer and mother while her family was stationed at military bases in Hawaii, Georgia, Virginia, and Illinois, later working for civil service at Chicago's O'Hare airport military complex before retiring in 1975.

Traveled extensively during retirement, visiting China and European countries, and remained active in supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to her family and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to the McLean family.
