Ruth Elizabeth Roach of McHenry passed away on September 29, 2014; she was born February 29, 1924 in Chicago to Chester and Marie Clow.

Worked as a chemical analyst for Morton Chemical in Woodstock (later Morton-Thiokol and Rohm and Haas Company) and in food service at Montini Catholic School in McHenry.

Active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry, serving in the Ladies Guild and soup kitchen; also volunteered with 1st Way Pregnancy Support Services and Friends in Service Here Food Pantry.

Preceded in death by husband James Roach, granddaughter Kyrstin Roach, sister Catherine, and brother John; survived by son Raymond Roach and granddaughter Jennifer Baxley.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to Ruth Roach's family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family.
