Thelma M. Wians of Chicago passed away on October 12, 2014, at age 94.

Born March 25, 1920, in South Dakota to Herbert and Bertha Swedlund; married Warren August Wians in Chicago on November 15, 1945.

Active member of the Sun City Scrabble Club and Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley after relocating to Sun City Huntley retirement community in 2001.

Survived by four children (Peggy Altmeyer, Pamela Lanteri, David Wians, and Donna Wians), 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to her family and directs presentation of this resolution to the Wians family.
