Commemorates the life and death of Wayne McClain of Champaign, who passed away on October 15, 2014, at age 60.

Recognizes McClain's teaching career at Blaine Sumner Middle School and Harrison Elementary School, and his 18 years as assistant basketball coach at Manual High School before becoming head coach in 1995.

Acknowledges McClain's coaching achievements, including leading Manual High School to 3 of 4 consecutive State championships between 1994-1997, being named National High School Coach of the Year in 1997, and later coaching Central High School in Champaign to a regional title.

Notes McClain's 11-year tenure with the University of Illinois men's basketball program under coaches Bill Self and Bruce Weber, serving as assistant head coach for the last 3 years, and his subsequent work at Kansas State University.

Directs the Illinois Senate to present a copy of this resolution to McClain's family as an expression of condolences.
