John Bruce Lind, who passed away on June 1, 2014, was born October 3, 1941 in Hibbing, Minnesota and spent his career in agri-business and as a commodity futures trader on the Chicago Board of Trade for 25 years.

After retiring in 1996 to rural Dodgeville, Wisconsin, Lind served as President of the local Habitat for Humanity chapter and on numerous boards including the Iowa County Board (2004-2010) and Dodgeville Town Board (1999-2004).

Lind is survived by his wife of 48 years Carla, three children, four grandchildren, and extended family members.

The Illinois Senate expresses mourning for John Lind's passing and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of sympathy.
