Thomas W. McNamara of Oak Park died on June 15, 2014; he was born on October 31, 1931.

Attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park, University of Notre Dame, and Northwestern University Law School.

Practiced law at Jenner & Block specializing in real estate, zoning, and business matters; argued before the United States Supreme Court in "Organization for a Better Austin v. O'Keefe" and handled numerous pro bono cases.

Member of Oak Park Country Club and Point O'Woods Country Club, where he served as president; enjoyed cards, casinos, and golf.

Survived by six children, 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and four siblings; preceded in death by his wife Rita of 50 years and son Thomas W. McNamara Jr.
