Illinois Senate mourns the death of Mary Anne Heidkamp (nee Dunsheath) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, formerly of Oak Park, who passed away on May 15, 2014

Mary Heidkamp was born in Chicago on September 23, 1923, earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from DePaul University in 1945, and married Herbert Heidkamp on June 29, 1946

Family lived in Chicago (1950s), New Jersey (1960), Johannesburg, South Africa (1963-1968), Boston (1968-1981), and returned to Chicago's north side in 1981

Mary Heidkamp was active in her parish and neighborhood association, an avid reader, Chicago Bulls fan, and loved attending family reunions

Mary Heidkamp is survived by 12 children, 29 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; the Senate extends sincere condolences to her family and friends
