John J. Haeflinger of Marengo died on October 20, 2014, at age 78 (born February 16, 1936).

Served in the United States Army and owned Winkelman's Radiator for 31 years before retiring in 1997.

Active member of the Northern Illinois Beagle Club, raising field trial beagles with longtime friend Irving Schirmer; enjoyed motorcycles, horses, and spending time in the Florida Keys.

Survived by his wife Dolores, son Anthony, two grandsons (A.J. and Nico), and three nephews.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and directs presentation of a memorial copy of this resolution to his family.
