Illinois Senate mourns the death of Dr. Norbert T. "Doc" Patterson, who passed away on October 3, 2014.

Dr. Patterson was born July 1, 1933 in Chicago and practiced optometry in Harvard, Illinois for 55 years after moving there in 1958.

Served in the Army National Guard of Illinois from 1957 to 1963 and was a member of the Illinois and American Optometric Associations.

Was a founding member and past president of the Harvard Rotary Club with 54+ years of perfect attendance, and helped establish the Harvard Swimming Pool and Harvard Snow Gophers Snowmobile Club.

Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Patterson's family as an expression of sympathy.
