Roland W. Knecht of Bunker Hill died on October 30, 2014; he was born November 17, 1946 in Alton to Wilbur H. and LaVerne Knecht.

Served 22 years in the United States Navy and worked as a farmer.

Member of American Legion Hall Post 578, 4-H, and Country Bible Church in Bunker Hill where he served as a Trustee; was a John Deere enthusiast.

Survived by his wife Sue, five children, multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and four siblings.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and directs a copy of this resolution be presented to the Knecht family.
