Donald A. "Uncle Don" Barrows of North Chicago passed away on October 7, 2014, at age 82.

Retired from the North Chicago Police Department at the rank of sergeant and later worked as an entrepreneur.

Survived by his wife Nancy (married 53 years), 2 stepsons, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.

Illinois Senate expresses mourning for Barrows' passing and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family as a condolence.
