Barbara Ann Nelson of Waukegan passed away on September 7, 2014; she was born October 15, 1933 in Gladstone, Michigan to Fred and Anna Brassick and married Richard H. Nelson on April 5, 1952.

Barbara Nelson graduated from Gladstone High School in 1951 and spent most of her life as a homemaker and member of St. Anastasia Parish.

She was preceded in death by two sons (David S. Nelson in 1954 and 2007), her parents, and sister Rosalind Gerau.

Barbara Nelson is survived by her husband Richard of 62 years, four children (Michael R., Ronald G., Curt F., and Sandra A.), sister Betty Harrison, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for her passing and directs a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Nelson family.
