Michael Alan Barrett of Alton died on November 22, 2014; he was born September 13, 1956 to John J., Sr. and Theresa (nee McConnell) Barrett.

Graduated from Western Illinois University in 1978 and became president of the family business, Barrett Heating & Cooling, Inc.

Served as a past member of the advisory board of Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, Missouri; was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Alton Knights of Columbus Council 460.

Survived by his wife Linda Lea (nee Day), children Emily and Thomas Barrett, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to Barrett's family and friends, with a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to his family.
