Mourns the death of Anna Helmer of Mount Prospect, who passed away on November 24, 2014

Anna Helmer was born March 28, 1923 in Zerne, Yugoslavia and emigrated from Austria in 1950 with her son and mother

She was active with the Donauschwaben Society of Chicago in Des Plaines, working in the kitchen and serving seniors until age 88

Survived by her son Nicholas J. Helmer, daughter Rosemarie Garlasco, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her sister Rosalia Jivoin

Illinois Senate extends condolences to her family and friends, directing that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Helmer family
