Gary William Joyce of Crystal Lake passed away on November 8, 2014, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Joyce was born June 25, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida and served as a proud U.S. Navy veteran, working as a nuclear power plant operator stationed in Florida and serving on the USS Forrestal and USS Yosemite.

Joyce worked for multiple architectural engineering companies based in Chicago including EMC2, GKC, and Perkins and Will.

Joyce is survived by his wife Susan of 29 years, three children (Raeann Smith-Delinger, Jessica Louise Joyce, and Kelly Anne Joyce), one grandchild (Dominic Anthony Manning), his mother Patricia F. Joyce, and his sister Judy Joyce-Wilson.

The Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Gary Joyce's family as an expression of sympathy.
