John Leroy Morey of Bunker Hill passed away on November 15, 2014; he was born August 17, 1939 in Alton to Leo Edward Morey and Nellie Francis Cleveland Morey.

Married Mary Linda Withrow on June 16, 1963; served in the United States Navy and worked for companies including Owens Glass and the Olin Corporation.

Member of American Legion Post 578 of Bunker Hill and the Westerner Club; enjoyed fishing, playing darts and horseshoes, and spending time with family and friends.

Survived by his wife Mary, 2 daughters, 3 sons, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the Morey family as an expression of sympathy.
