Ronald "Ron" Dean Marx passed away on November 23, 2014 after a battle with cancer, survived by his wife Tina, mother, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 6 siblings.

Served as a patrolman in Morris for 5 years before beginning his firefighting career in 1991 with the Naperville Fire Department, where he served over 20 years as a firefighter and paramedic.

Worked on the Naperville Fire Department's accreditation process, emergency medical system transition, and fire investigation team, and was known for his work with the Public Education Team.

Joined the Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District on June 15, 2006 and was promoted to Lieutenant in January 2012, developing training programs and officer development initiatives.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for his passing and memorializes his dedication to fire service and mentoring of firefighters and paramedics.
