Removes the 4-prescription limit (including 3 brand name prescriptions per 30-day period) that previously required prior Department approval for prescriptions exceeding this threshold in the medical assistance program.

Eliminates exemptions that previously excluded immunosuppressant drugs, oncolytic drugs, anti-retroviral drugs, and antipsychotic drugs from the 4-prescription limit restriction.

Removes the provision allowing the Department to exempt children with complex medical needs enrolled in care coordination entities from the prescription drug limitations if they had a comprehensive drug reconciliation program.

Maintains existing pharmacy reimbursement provisions including professional dispensing fees, acquisition cost updates, and utilization controls for narcotic medications and other specified drug categories.
