IL HB0150

Amends the School Code to explicitly include the offense of terrorism as a Class X felony grounds for automatic revocation of educator licenses by the State Superintendent of Education.

Prohibits the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, and Western Illinois University from knowingly employing persons convicted of terrorism or related offenses.

Prohibits community colleges from knowingly employing persons convicted of attempting to commit, conspiring to commit, soliciting, or committing terrorism, or equivalent offenses under other state or federal law.

Applies employment prohibitions to convictions for terrorism offenses committed or attempted in other states or under federal law that would constitute terrorism if committed in Illinois.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
