• Removes the prohibition on taking bobcats in Illinois and establishes an annual open season from November 1 through February 15, allowing hunting with gun, dog, bow and arrow, or small handheld light while on foot.

• Limits bobcat harvest to one bobcat per person per season.

• Requires bobcat pelts to be tagged according to federal regulations (50 CFR 23.69(e)) and allows the Department of Natural Resources to establish registration procedures and fees not exceeding $5 per pelt.

• Permits bobcats to be taken using small lights worn on the body or hand-held by a person on foot, but prohibits use of vehicle-mounted lights.
