IL HB1410

Amends the Driver Education Act in the Illinois School Code to require behind-the-wheel instruction to incorporate motorcycle safety and awareness.

Mandates that students understand their surroundings when operating a motor vehicle as part of the behind-the-wheel instruction component.

Maintains existing driver education course requirements of minimum 30 clock hours of classroom instruction and minimum 6 clock hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
