Expands physical education exemption eligibility from grades 11-12 to grades 9-12 in Illinois public schools.

Allows students to request exemption from physical education courses for: interscholastic athletic participation, required academic classes for college admission, or required academic classes for high school graduation.

Permits school boards to excuse students in grades 9-12 enrolled in marching band programs or Reserve Officer's Training Corps (ROTC) from physical education courses.

Maintains existing exemptions for students with special education needs, including those participating in adapted athletic programs outside school settings.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
