Courts may order parents, guardians, or legal custodians to attend antigang violence parenting classes when a minor is found delinquent for a gang-related offense and is a first-time offender who remains in parental custody.

Department of Children and Family Services must establish curriculum including: victim impact meetings, meetings with parents of deceased gang members, identifying gang and drug activity, effective adolescent communication, support agency resources, potential criminal penalties, and parental liability for aiding crimes.

Parents, guardians, or persons liable for the minor's support must pay for the classes unless the court finds they lack financial ability, with courts considering household income, obligations, dependents, and payment plan options.

"Gang-related" offenses are defined by reference to the Illinois Streetgang Terrorism Omnibus Prevention Act.
